‘Dalby Swale’ delivered at Seawork

Mon Jun 16 10:20:26 CEST 2014 arnekiel

‘Dalby Swale’ (V28) the new Alicat Built 23m Wind Farm Support Vessel is being delivered to the company at Seawork, where it will be officially christened, accepted and available for inspection, Maritime Journal reports. The Dalby Swale will strengthen Dalby Offshore’s expanding fleet to a total of 10 vessels and comes just two weeks after the announcement of the commissioning of the Dalby Wharfe WFSV a 21m vessel, also built by Alicat. This is the first of the new Alicat 23m designs with extended waterlines for greater passenger comfort and fuel efficiency. Powered by twin MAN V12-1400 1400hp Diesel engines coupled to Rolls-Royce FF500 water jet units, the vessel achieves a sprint speed of 32 knots and is capable of cruising at speeds in excess of 25 knots with full tanks and a full complement of 12 passengers.
