Pump trouble off Beachy Head
The 'Delphine', while en route from Zeebrugge to Dublin had to drop anchor to carry out repairs after the lube pump to the main engine brok down, nine miles SE of Beachy Head in position 50 40 31 N, 000 28 27 E on Dec 25, 2020 at 2 a.m. The secondary engine remained working. Repairs were carried out, and the shio resumed its voyage in gale force winds, arriving in Dublin on Dec 26 at 9.40 a.m.
Ferry suffered sensor issue
The "Delphine", en route from Zeebrugge to Killingholme with 33 persons on board, suffered a sensor problem on the main engine, about 25 miles east of Mablethorpe, in position 53 20 36 N, 000 58 41 E, on Aug 10, 2018, at 05.37 a.m. The crew of the vessel rectified the issue and resumed its passage at 06.22 a.m. the ship berthed at Immingham at noon.
