Cruise cancelled due to azipod problems
After the "Disney Adventure" suffered technical problems, a voyage that was scheduled to start in Singapore on May 7, 2026, had to be cancelled. The ship experienced serious problems with one of the three Azipod propulsion pods. Initially, the departure was only postponed, allowing the "Disney Adventure" to remain at the Marina Bay Cruise Center overnight. But then it was discovered that the problem was more serious, and the passengers had to disembark. They received a full refund of the cruise fare. The cruise line also paid them for one night's hotel accommodation and $500 to cover any incidental expenses.
Cruise ship finally enroute to Freeport
The "Disney Adventure" has finally left the port of Bremerhaven on Jan 4, 2026, att around 4 p.m. towards Freeport, Bahamas, with an ETA as of Jan 14. The cruise ship was scheduled to depart at noon, but this was delayed for a few hours. It had been docked in Bremerhaven since September 2025. It was built by the Meyer shipyard in Wismar. The ship was then docked at the Columbus Quay in Bremerhaven for interior outfitting and final outfitting. The first regular cruise is scheduled for March. It was originally planned for November 2025, but was delayed due to completion problems. Cruise ship threatened to break lose
Due to the raging storm, the 'Disney Adventure' was threatened to break lose from the berth in Bremerhaven on Oct 24. The tugs 'VB Emotion' (IMO: 9691369), 'VB Vega' (IMO: 9905473) und 'RT Evolution' (IMO: 9691357) were deployed to secure the ship at the quay.
