Repairs in Yalova underway
The 'Jack Trio' which had suffered an engine failure in vicinity 35 46 09 N, 004 22 15 W n the Alboran Sea on Jan 16, 2022, was towed to Yalova on Feb 8. Upon completion of custom and immigration formalities, a detailed damage survey was carried out by a class surveyor together with the owner's superintendent and shipyard duty engineers. A dtailed permanent repairs plan was issued by the classification society and commenced by shore based technical teams. The vessel remained stationary at Yalova as of Feb 15.
Disabled vessel under tow to Yalova
The 'Jack Trio', en route from Kamsar to Yalova, suffered an engine failure and lost power in vicinity 35 46 09 N, 004 22 15 W in the Alboran Sea on Jan 16, 2022. The crew was not able to carry out repairs, and the tug 'Eems Wrestler' (IMO: 8843549) was contracted to tow the vessel to Yalova. The towage operation commenced on Jan 21 with an ETA at Yalova as of Feb 3.
