Wed Oct 23 21:51:01 CEST 2019 Timsen

On Oct 23, the 'No. 5 Elbe' was loaded onto the cargo m/v 'Rix Sping' (IMO: 9137296) by two sheerlegs of the HHLA with a lifting capacity of 100 and 200 tons in the Tollerort Container Terminal in Hamburg. The operation started at 10 a.m. at the Hachmann Quay where the schooner went alongside the cargo ship which will take it to the Hvide Sande Shipyard where it will be investigated and repaired in a construction hall. At 3 p.m. the 'Rix Spring' left Hamburg after the schooner was safe inside with an ETA as of Oct 24. Schooner towed to Hamburg

Tue Oct 22 21:47:59 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "No 5 Elbe" was towed to Hamburg by the tug 'Johannes' on Oct 15 from the Peters Yard in Wewelsfleth where the breach at port side was temporarily patched so that the ship remained afloat. In the morning of Oct 23 the ship is to be loaded with two floating cranes of the Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) onto a Danish cargo m/v which will transport the wreck to Hvide Sande where it will be repaired on the yard which had just restored the schooner until spring. Schooner to be repaired in Hvide Sande

Mon Aug 19 11:32:48 CEST 2019 Timsen

The "No. 5 Elbe" is to be repaired at the Hvide Sande Shipyard. The Hamburg Maritim foundation will tow the ship to the local yard which has the expertise for such works. It was the only yard which had participated in the tender for the repair of the collision damage. Actually the wreck is drydocked at the Peters Yard in Wewelsfleth where the hull will be patched so that the ship can be towed.
