Second detention within a few days
The "Elena' was already detained again on Oct 16, 2025, in Trapani, this time with 23 deficiencies, seven of which being regarded as seriously and grounds for a detention: 1) Safety of navigation - Bridge operation Lack of familiarity 2) Labour conditions - Cleanliness Not hygienic 3) Fire safety - Means of escape Not as required 4) Life saving Appliances - Rescue boats Not ready for use 5) Pollution Prevention - Garbage Management Plan Not as required 6) Propulsion and auxiliary machinery - Propulsion main engine Not as required 7) ISM - Ism certificate Not as required The vessel was released again on Oct 21 and left the port enroute to Arles with an ETA as of Oct 25. The last derention ended just a few days ago in the port of Karadeniz Eregli, where the ship had been banned from sailing on Oct 6 with 26 deficiencies for four days.
