Grounding in Freeman Channel

The 'Eseniya', en route from Boston, UK, to Ipswich with 11 crew members on board, ran aground in the Freeman Channel, The Wash, in position 52 58 24.0 N, 000 11 48.6 E, on Dec 3, 2020, at 9 a.m. The duty counter pollution officer of the Coastguard was liaising with ship's owners. After refloating at 6.40 p.m., the ship arrived in Ipswich on Dec 4 and berthed at the Cliff Quay at 12.10 p.m. No damage or pollution has been reported.

Kayan 1 hits Slochterdiep off Istanbul

Sierra Leone-flagged Kayan-1, an 86-meter (282-feet) freighter carrying empty containers, was trying to moor due to the severe weather when it got dragged and brushed against two other cargo ships, the Netherlands-flagged Slochterdiep and Tanzania-flagged Adria Blu.
