Ferry suffered engine trouble

The ' Express 3', sailing between Aarhus and Odden, suffered engine problems. This meant two cancelled departures on April 2, 2026. The problem has arisen in the fast ferry's gear housing, and work was being done to resolve the problem. The 12:30 p.m. departure from Aarhus and the 2:30 p.m. departure from Sjællands Odde were cancelled.The technical problem meant that the 'Express 3' was sailing with the power of three instead of four engines, which extended the crossing time.

Ferry suffered engine damage

Molslinjen had to cancel all crossings of the ferry between Odden and Aarhus with the 'Express 3' on Oct 3 due to a defective gear wheel in the engine. Passengers who were supposed to be on tje 'Express 3' at 12:30 p.m. had the choice between driving south or waiting to see if there was space on the next departure at 2:30 or at 3:30 p.m.

Trouble with weather and clogged filters

After the scheduled departure from Odden on June 7, 2017, at 4.45 p.m. the "Express 3" suffered a problem with clogged sea water filters. Because of the stormy weather, the captain chose to shelter at Nekselø while the filters were cleaned. Then the ferry to Århus continued with approximately 45 minutes delay and berthed in port at 6.30 p.m.
