Quarantined crew waiting for test results in Burela
The 16 crew members of the 'Carla' held in quarantine in Burela for two weeks were confident that they can set sail on april 28, should the coronavirus tests carried out on April 27 prove negative. The ship docked in Burela after being ordered by its owner to return from the fishing grounds, when it was confirmed that one of the crew had been infected by covid-19 in an analysis carried out a few days earlier in Avilés. Neither he nor any of his companions showed symptoms. Shortly after arriving in Burela, the first PCR tests were carried out on board. All of the 16 crew members were tested negative. Although their intention was to be able to fish again, they had to remain in quarantine for two weeks, until they were tested again. Trawler remains quarantined in Burela

Carla quarantined after positive COVID 19 testing
The 'Carla' (IMO: 8018021) which set sail from Burela on April 9, 2020, towards the fishing grounds, returned earlier than expected by order of the shipowner, because one of the 16 crew members was tested positive for the new coronavirus in a test carried out in Avilés. They docked in Burela early on April 14. To confirm the sailor's diagnosis, health personnel performed tests on everyone and, applying the protocol, the crew remaine in quarantine on board. No diagnosis of COVID-19 has yet been confirmed. While waiting for the test results, the man with signs of suffering remained inside the ship, without any symptoms. The Civil Guard has mounted a police cordon in the area of the dock in Burel where the 'Carla' has been tied up. No one can get on or off the vessel. Meanwhile, as a preventive measure complementary to quarantine, a company hired by the ship owners started disinfecting the 'Carla' in the afternoon.
