Anniversary voyage postponed due to engine problems
The anniversary voyage from Cuxhaven to Helgoland of the "Helgoland," planned for Dec 16. has been postponed. The ship is currently out of service- Ot recently underwent scheduled maintenance in the shipyard for the class inspection and the routine overhaul of its port side engine. After recommissioning, it was determined that another shipyard stay in Cuxhaven was necessary. The cause were technical defects that arose during the engine manufacturer's overhaul and were not the responsibility of the shipping company Cassen Eils. These defects were now being rectified to ensure safe and reliable ship operation. During the shipyard's stay, the "Funny Girl" will take over the service between Cuxhaven and Helgoland. The supply of food and everyday goods to Helgoland will also be ensured and the regular timetable between Cuxhaven and Helgoland will be fully maintained. Passengers with an anniversary ticket can alternatively travel to Helgoland on Dec 16t with the "Funny Girl" or reschedule their trip with the "Helgoland" for a later date.
