Ship renamed under repair
The 'Vega 1' has been renamed 'Isik 1' on Nov 5, 2021. Further repairs and renewals to the electric systems together with switchboard units were being carried out by the appointed sub-contractor company. The date of completion of the entire repairs remained unclear to date, and the vessel remained stationary in the shipyard at Tuzla as of Dec 5.
Trials after repairs failed
The final sea trial tests of the 'Vega 1' have failed. The ship was subsequently shifted from the Tuzla anchorage back to the shipyard in order to carry out more repairs on Aug 20. These were resumed by the shore based technical teams under supervision of the owner's superintendent. The ship remained stationary in pos. 40° 50.68' N 029° 17.43' E as of Aug 24.
Repairs in Tuzla completed
Repairs of the 'Vega 1' have been completed, and the vessel has been shifted to Tuzla anchorage. Sea trials and performance tests were to be carried out. A nw set of trading documents was to be issued by the classification society and flag state authority. On Jan 18, 2021, the vessel remained stationary at the Tuzla anchorage as of April 26.
