Engine damage off Milos

The Port Authorities of Milos and Heraklion were informed in the early morning of March 9, 2023, that the 'Kriti II' had suffered a damage to the port side main engine, while sailing in the 12 mile area south of Milos, without the Master requesting assistance. The ferry sailed under its own power and at reduced speed to the port of Heraklion, where it safely disembarked the 167 passengers. The Central Port Authority of Heraklion banned the ferry from sailing until the repair of damage and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the classifier monitoring it.

Engine damage off Antimilos

The Port Authorities of Milos and Heraklion were informed in the early hours of Feb 17, 2023, that the 'Kriti II', suffered a damage to the port side main engine five nautical miles northwest of Antimilos, without the Master requesting assistance. With its own power at reduced speed the ship reached the port of Heraklion, where it safely disembarked the 380 passengers. The Central Port Authority of Heraklion banned the ferry from sailing until the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class, by the classifier monitoring it.

Engine damage off Piraeus

In the evening of Sep 14, 2022, the 'Kriti II' suffered a damage tho the port side main engine during the scheduled route from the port of Heraklion to the port of Piraeus. The ferry sailed safely to the port of destination on Sep 15 at 8 a.m. and disembarked the 357 passengers. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of class maintenance by the monitoring classification society. As of Sep 16, the ship remained stationary in port.
