Crew member died in his cabin

A 41-year-old crew member from Torre del Greco, Naples Province, died on the "Superba" after the departure from Palermo for Genoa on Dec 20, 2021, at 11.45 p.m. The deceased did not answer calls over the intercom, and colleagues got worried. The man was found on the bottom inside his cabin. The coroner went on board to ascertain the causes of death. The prosecutor on duty ordered an autopsy. Also the Port Authority intervened.

Medevac off Civitavecchia

Mon Jan 20 11:19:11 CET 2020 Timsen

A 44-year-old Italian national suffered a stroke aboard the 'LA Superbvar' which was heading from Genoa to Civitavecchia on Jan 19, 2020. The 'Ares 118' was deployed from the Viterbo base and headed to the ship, which was located a few miles from the Civitavecchia coast. After landing on the helipad the rescue personnel was able to provide first aid to man and stabilize him. The patient was then taken off and transported by the crew of Pegaso 33 Elitaliana to the resuscitation department of the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic where he was hospitalized.
