Allision off Istanbul
The 'New Horizon' was in callision with the moored cargo m/v 'Lady Nurgul' at Ahirkapi Anchorage in the Marmara Sea on Oct16, 2022, at around 1.45 p.m. The bulk carrier was under way, leaving the anchorage bound for the Ukraine to load grain, but dropped anchor after the accident. The 'Lady Nurgul' remained at anchor. The ship had arrived from Poti, en route to Termini Imerese.
Repairs in Tuzla completed
Repairs of the "Lady Nurgul" have been completed in the shipyard in Tuzla. Subsequently, the vessel has shifted to the anchorage area to carry out sea trials and final tests. Upon completion of further approval, a new set of trading certificateswas issued by classification society and flag state authority. The vessel left the Tuzla waters on Feb 25 at 9.50 a.m., and after a call at Istanbul from March 2 to 3, headed to Novorossiysk, ETA March 5, 11 a.m.
Spare parts installed in Tuzla
The installation of a new set of spare parts was carried out by a a technical team of the manufacturer under the presence of the owner's superintendent. The sea trials will be carried out at Tuzla anchorage, as per class surveyor?s recommendations. By Feb 4 the ship remained stationary at Tuzla.
