All crew rescued after freighter capsized

The "M Star 1" capsized and sank in the evening of Sep 7, 2016, in pos. 11 28N 097 11E in the Andaman Sea, 25 miles southwest of the Great Western Torres Islands, Myanmar. The vessel was en route from Port Klang to Chittagong. The offshore supply tug "Lewek Harrier" was diverted to assist. It's crew spotted and rescued all 14 crew members. 12 of them were picked up from a life raft, another two from a rescue boat. Cargo ship abandoned off Sakata

In stormy weather the "M Star 1" ran aground late in the night of Dec 22, 2014, at 11.40 p.m. near the Akagawa estuary northwest about 800 m off the coast of Sakata in the Yamagata Prefecture, Honshu Island. The ship was en route from Incheon to Akita. The crew of 18, among them Koreans and Burmese, was evacuated despite of bad weather with snow Gusts with a wind Speed of 15-17 m/sec by military helicopters until Dec 23, 2014, at 7.30 a.m. no injures were reported. The vessel was open to battering by heavy swell of six meters height.
