MAC HOPE 9316191
Tsavrilis Salvage Int. Ltd. on Feb 2, 2011, redelivered the "Moondance II" to its owners. The ship had run aground approximately 25 miles off the coast of East Kalimatan, NE Borneo, on the south eastern edge of Karang Malalungan coral reef on Jan 25. A salvage team was dispatched from Holland and Greece. A salvage tug was on location since 13th January 2011. Lightening of the 51000 tons coal aboard commenced on Jan 26, into three chartered barges, totalling about 18,000 tons dwt. The vessel was successfully refloated on Jan 30 at 2.15 p.m. Reloading of cargo commenced and was completed on Feb 1.
