Wed Dec 02 10:29:46 CET 2015 arnekiel

Bulk carrier Anangel Explorer (IMO 9295012) has docked in Port Hedland, and has started loading Roy Hill Mine’s inaugural iron ore shipment, as prices for the mineral hit their lowest.

Ship officer arrested for suspected murder

Mon Oct 13 20:51:30 CEST 2014 Timsen

The 35 years old Greek naval officer of the "Anangel Explorer" was arrested in the morning of Oct 13, 2014, and charged with the murder of a Ukrainian woman. He denied guilt. The police believed that crime after the woman in the 30s went missing. The vessel came to Narvik from Amsterdam on Oct 11. The officer was taken in custody at the Narvik Police station. According to the man, who was now accused of killing her on board the "Anangel Explorer", the woman has never been on the ship. He admitted to have known the woman and met her in Amsterdam, where she hoped to find work. But he testified that he left her there.
