Ferry under repair after water ingress
The "Mega Express Two" stopped its rotations after a small crack was detected which caused a water intake on April 27, 2018, in the port of Toulon. The ship was bound for Porto Torres. About a thousand passengers spent the night aboard before leaving the next morning aboard the ferry "Mega Express Three" which extended its connection on Ajaccio to Sardinia. The "Mega Express Two" headed to Genoa late in the afternoon of Apr 28 for repairs and was replaced by its sister ship, the "Mega Express". The ferry sailed again on May 2 at 12.45 p.m. and headed to Vado Ligure as next port of call, where it docked at the Sporgente E. Bricchetto quay at 2.30 p.m.
