Technical failure under repair off Cesme

The 'Mira; en route from Haifa to the Dardanellses, suffered s technical failure in position 38 12 23N, 26 17 01E, about 6.7 nautical miles from Cesme on July 10, 2021, at 12.15 p.m. The vessel moored at Cesme anchorage for repairs by the crew.

Repairs in Yalova completed

Repairs of the 'Mira' have been completed. The steel was replaced at the damaged location and a welding test was carried out. new set of trading certificates was issued by the classification society and a flag state authority upon completion of the final tests and controls. The vessel left the shipyard at Yalova on Feb 7 at 9 a.m.

Allision damage under repair in Altinova

The 'Mira' which had been in allision with an anchored vessel while manoeuvring at Istanbul anchorage on Nov 29, 2019, and had suffered structural damageto the side shell plating, shifted to the Yasarsan Shipyard in Altinova for repairs on Dec 25 and was moored in position 40 43 24 N, 029 28 38 E. Upon arrival at the shipyard, a damage survey was carried out by the class surveyor. Steel cutting operation has commenced and tightness test will be conducted upon completion of steel replacement and other repairs.
