Godby ferry chartered to Stena Line
The Godby Shipping has signed a one-year charter agreement with the Stena Line for the 'Mistral', with an option for extension. At the beginning of 2026, the ship will be dry-docked at the Remontowa Shipyard in Gdańsk, where, in addition to a standard maintenance, a number of energy-efficient upgrades will also be carried out. This includes new propeller blades and a new design of the bulb optimized for service speeds of 10–14 knots, which reduces fuel consumption as part of the broader strategy to ensure that the Godby fleet meets the increasingly stringent environmental requirements. The 'Mistral' will then start a regular service for the Stena Line between Europort Rotterdam and Harwich. The two shipping companies have previously collaborated through charter agreements for several vessels.
