Bulk carrier boarded by five armed perpetrators

On July 4, 2025, at 10.50 p.m. the Modigliani', en route from Sao Francisco do Sul to Machong with an ETA as of July 11, was boarded by five perpetraotrs, armed with gun like objects, in pos. 1° 4.85' N 103° 42.94' E. while underway in the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme of the Singapore Strait. No injuries were reported, and nothing was reported stolen.

Engine shutdown in Vancouver

The "Modigliani" was disabled due to a main engine shut down in position 049° 00.36' N, 123° 10.04' W near Brockton Point, Vancouver, on Jan 16, 2019, at 9 p.m. The crew managed to restart the main engine, and the bulkcarrier was anchored under the conduct of a pilot under its own power. On Jan 23 it remained moored in position 049° 17.91' N 123° 11.39' W.
