Engine failure off Kughit Island

The "Seamax New Haven" was disabled due to a blackout 41 nautical miles west of Kunghit Island, British Columbia, in position 52 03 19.2 N, 132 12 00 W, on Feb 4, 2019, at 04.55 ha.m. The crew carried out repairs and the vessel continued its voyage. The ship was underway from Tacoma to Taipei, ETA Feb 17.

Container loss in Kaoshiung

13 20-foot-containers fell overboard from the "Seamax New Haven" during cargo operations at Kaohsiung in the afternoon of Jan 9, 2019. All 13 containers didn’t sink and went adrift, threatening the port’s traffic. As of 8 p.m. only three containers were recovered, the rest were still floating around. The ship left Kaohsiung on Jan 10 and arrived at Taipei the same day.
