Medevac in Lisbon

The 'MSC Preziosa' entered the port of Lisbon earlier than scheduled on Sep 7., 2019, at 12.45 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. due to a medical emergency. The ship was enroute from Casablanca and increased speed to disembark the patient in port and avoiding a situation in which he would have to be taken off on sea. He was transferred to hospital by ambulance.

Medevac off Cuxhaven

On June 16, 2019, a female passenger of the "MSC Preziosa" was medevaced in the Elbe estuary just before midnight. The cruise ship was on the Outer Elbe sailing in the direction of Hamburg when a passenger repeatedly went unconscious,. The lifeboat "Anneliese Kramer" of the DGzRS station Cuxhaven sheaded to the "MSC Preziosa" with ambulance and land rescue service of the fire brigade on board. They stabilized the patient on board the cruise ship. At the height of Cuxhaven's America Port, the lifeboat finally took on board the patient. After mooring in the ferry port, the land rescue service took care of her.

Search for missing passenger called off

Rescuers have called off the search for a passenger who went overboard on the "MSC Preziosa" on Dec 8, 2018. The 69-year-old woman from Holland was not in her cabin when the ship docked at Fort De France, Martinique. The cruise line conducted a search for the woman on board and referred the case to local law enforcement when she did not turn up. The ship was in its final day of an eight-day cruise in the Caribbean when the woman went missing. A helicopter and navy jet searched for the woman on Dec 9.
