Medevac in Gibraltar

Sun Apr 26 14:13:18 CEST 2020 Timsen

A crew member of the 'Captain Nassos D' was medevaced in Gibraltar with all the security measures and the established protocols for Covid-19 infections though he had no symptoms in the afternoon of April 25, 2020. He was suffering from a serious medical condition and required immediate clinical attention. The Gibraltar Port Authority, together with the Gibraltar Ambulance Service and the Gibraltar College Clinic, deployed the port launch 'Admiral Rooke' with a team of paramedics and a doctor to board the freighter and to carry out the necessary controls, and prepare the crew member to disembark from the ship. The patient was transferred to the San Bernardo del Peñón hospital for medical examination.
