Passenger died on board

On the morning of Sep 11, the Oinousses Port Authority was informed by the Greek Coast Guard, that a 73-year-old local female passenger of the 'Nissos Samos' required immediate hospital treatment. The ship was on a scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to the ports of Chios and Mytilene. It diverted to the port of Oinousses, where it disembarked the 73-year-old woman. she was taken to the Oinousses Multi-Purpose Clinic for first aid, where she was pronounced dead. Subsequently, the body was initially transported by a patrol boat with two doctors on board, to the port of Chios and then to the Chios General Hospital "Skylitseio". The Oinousses Port Station, which was conducting the preliminary investigation, ordered an autopsy.

On the morning of Sep 19, officers of the Port Authority of Chios arrested a 21-year-old Albanian citizen for violating article 372 of the Criminal Code. Engine failure off Kavala

On the evening of April 20, 2024, the Port Authority of Kavala was informed by the Master of the 'Nissos Samos', that shortly before berthing in port, a failure was detected in the port side main engine.
