Medevac in Chios
In the evening hours of April 28, the Port Authority of Chios was informed by the Captain of the 'Nissos Samos', that a 70-year-old Greek passenger required immediate hospital treatment. The ship, which had set sail on a scheduled route to Oinousses, Psaras and Piraeus, returned safely to the port of Chios, where the patient was picked up by an ambulance and transported to the Skylitseio General Hospital.
Water sprinkler system accidently activated
On April 26, 2026, at noon, the Port Authority of Mytilene was informed of the activation of the water sprinkler system inside the 'Nissos Samos' on a scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to the port of Mytilene, in the aft passenger area of deck 7 after the glass vial on the sprinkler head nozzle broke. An inspection was carried out by the Local Ship Inspection Unit (TKEP), during which it was found that the pressure system had been correctly restored to its original state, while a test of its operation was carried out, with satisfactory results. The Central Port Authority of Mytilene has proceeded to investigate the incident for the imposition of the prescribed administrative sanctions.

On the early morning of Dec 16, the Port Authority of Chios was informed by the Captain of the 'Nissos Samos', that a 54-year-old Greek passenger required immediate hospital treatment. The ship was operating a scheduled route from the port of Piraeus to the ports of Chios and Mytilene. Upon the ship’s arrival at the port of Chios, the patient was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Chios.
