40 migrants rescued off Leffrinckoucke

In the early afternoon of Feb 14, 2023, the CROSS Gris-Nez was informed that a boat was in difficulty off Leffrinckoucke and deployed the 'DF37-Nordet' to the scene. It rescued 40 shipwrecked people and dropped them off at the port of Dunkir, where they wee taken care of by the departmental fire and rescue service and the border police.

166 migrants rescued within a few hours

In the night of 16 and the morning of De 17, the CROSS Gris-Nez identified several boats in difficulty. The BSAM 'Garonne' picked up 50 people and dropped them off at the port of Calais. The VGC 'Nordet' rescued 45 boat people off Calais and dropped them off at the port. The BSAD 'Argonaute' rescued 31 castaways off Calais and dropped them off at the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer. The lifeboat 'SNS 077 Notre-Dame-du-Risban' from the SNSM station in Calais assisted a distressed boat of Oye-Plage and rescued 40 shipwrecked people, who were dropped off at the port of Calais. All the shipwrecked people were taken care of by the border police and the departmental fire and rescue service.

Seven migrants rescued off Dunkrik

On Oct 29, 2022, the CROSS Gris-Nez identified a boat in difficulty. The 'Nordet' was deployed to the position off Dunkirk. Seven shipwrecked people were picked up on board and then dropped off at the port of Dunkirk. Once ashore, the castaways were taken care of by the border police.
