Eight meters railing damaged in tow barge allisions

The "Pictor" allided with the barge "Ananna" at Chittagong port, on April 10 ,2019, at 10.30 a.m. The railing of the vessel sustained a two-metre long damage. A subsequent contact with the barge "Jobayer Abdullah-5" the same day at 1.30 p.m. resulted in a six-metre long railing damage.

Grounding in New Orleans

The "Pictor" ran aground on the Mississippi in position 029 11 40 N, 089 16 09 W, near 12 Mile Anchorage at Cubit's Gap on Jan 10, 2019, at 9.20 a.m. Vessel traffic in the area has been suspended. At 1.20 p.m. the ship was refloated and berthed in New Orleans.

K Line sells panamax to Greece

Japanese giant K Line has trimmed its dry cargo fleet with the sale of a panamax bulker to a Greek owner, brokers say. Bulk Seas is being tipped as the buyer of the 76,600-dwt Mishima (built 2002).A price of $12.8m is being placed on the ship. Mishima was also reported sold in June this year at a price of $16m.If confirmed, the acquisition would be the first for Bulk Seas in a year.Its last buy came in October 2013 with the addition of the 76,400-dwt Sea of Harmony (built 2001). Data from VesselsValue.com places the owner with three other trading vessels in its fleet, all of which were built in Japan.
