All sailings in Australia cancelled

Tue Feb 27 19:11:54 CET 2024 Timsen

Virgin Voyages have announced all sailings in Australia later in 2024 and early 2025 have been cancelled after heightened tensions in the Red Sea, prompting the 'Resilient Lady' to reroute its sailing through the Suez Canal for its upcoming half-world voyage scheduled for March 27, redirecting it back to Europe. The ship was meant to dock in Adelaide in December later this year as a part of a 6-night journey traversing Australia’s South Coast. The decision to reassess the timing for the return to Australia reflects the complexities involved in navigating global geopolitical challenges while ensuring the safety and satisfaction of passengers. Due to the cancellation of the ÄResilient Lady' from Australian waters every voyage in this region has now been cancelled.

A patrol boat was deployed to assist and picked up the patient and transported him to the port of Chania, from where he was transferred by an ambulance to the General Hospital of Chania.

New cruise ship waiting for payment and delivery

Fri Nov 18 19:18:05 CET 2022 Timsen

The 'Resilient Lady' has been stationary at the North Pier ni Palermo, where it has been berthed since July 18, because the owner Virgin Voyages of the British billionaire Richard Branson still has to pay 560 million Euros, 80% of the total 700 million Between July and August, the 'Resilient Lady' timewise left the dock to stay at anchor for a few hours and then returned to its berth. The ship is still owned by the Fincantieri shipyard and flies the Italian flag The pandemic had imposed a stop of 1,5 yeears on the first two ships of the series. So for the 'Resilient Lady', which had completed the trials in April and which was due to start its cruises from Greece in June, Virgin Voyages has decided to postpone it for nine months, until the second quarter of 2023. The delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2022.
