Armed perpetrators stole welding equipment

While the 'Royal Jade' was transiting the eastbound lane of the Singapore Strait, armed perpetrators were seen boarding the vessel in position 01 03 27.6 N, 103 41 06.0 E on Feb 25, 2022, at 6.40 p.m. UTC. They stole a set of welding equipment, fled the vessel and escaped. The crew was safe, and the vessel continued its voyage to Singapore. During the investigation, the crew reported that the perpetrators carried long knives.

Fire in Karachi

In the night of Jan 19, 2021, a fire broke out aboard the 'Royal Jade' at Karachi port. The ship with 57.750 tons of wheat as cargo had arrived from Novorossiysk on Jan 18 at 10.30 p.m. Barrels with carbide on cargo deck caught fire. Karachi Port firefighters responded to douse the fire, more fire brigade vehicles were put on standby. In the morning of Jan 20 the fire was extinguished.
