Medevac off Point au Fer
The US Coast Guard medevaced a 27-year-old man from the "Isabella Rose" approximately 45 nautical miles south of Point Au Fer, Louisiana, on Mar 9, 2017. Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector New Orleans received a report from the supply vessel at 11 a.m. of a deckhand complaining of chest pains and abdominal discomfort. Watchstanders directed the launch of an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans who hoisted the patient and transported him to West Jefferson Medical Center. The patient was reported to be in stable condition.
