Drug parasite found at ship's hull
In a joint Navy and Police operation involving divers, a steel construction was found attached to the underwater hull of the 'UBC Saiki' in Guatemala. The construction, known as “parasite”, contained 30 packages with drugs. The ship had arrived at Santo Tomas anchorage on Apr 17, coming from Santa Marta, Colombia. An investigation was under way, the crew was not involved in the crime.
