Grounded yacht refloated

On Aug 3, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. the sailing yacht 'Van Gogh' with nine people on board suffered a leak near Punta Couso and issued a mayday call. The CCS Vigo of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Mirach', which refloated the boat. One of the crew members was transferred to Cangas due to some injuries. Blazing sailing yacht sank off Cabo Silleiro

On Oct 8, 2022, the SAR helicopter Pesca 1 rescued the two crew members of Austrian and Spanish nationality from a burning sailboat 27 miles west of Cabo Silleiro. They did not need medical care. The CCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Finisterre coordinated the response. The patrol aircraft Sasemar 102 reported the sinking of the yacht, and the patrol boat 'Corvo Mariño' picked up the life raft and took it to Marín. The 'Salvamar Mirach' was in charge of the recovery of the dinghy of the yacht and transferred it to Cangas.
