Yacht towed to Gíjon
The Swedish flagged yacht 'Emrys', with 5 crew members on board, went adrift on May 7, 2023, due to a mechanical failure and lack of wind. It requested assistance to reach Gijón at the Avilés anchorage. The CCS Gijón of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Rígel', which towed it to #Gijón.
Boat towed to Ribadesella
On April 25, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. the pleasure boat 'Nala' with two crew members on board was disabled and adrift due to engine problems twon nautical miles west of Ribadesella. The CCS Gijón of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Rígel', which took the boat in tow and pulled it to Ribadesella.
Motor boat towed to Gíjon
On Feb 13, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. the pleasure boat 'Zulima I' went adrift and requested assistance due to an engine failure six nautical miles northeast of Gijón. THe CCS Gijón of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Rígel', which took the boat in tow and pulled it to the Yates Marina in Gíjon.
