Abandoned yacht towed to Palma
On Oct 11, 2023, the Maritime Captaincy of Palma warned of the presence of the Norwegian flagge sailing yacht 'Bachus', which was in an advanced state of abandonment next to Alcudiamar in the Bay of Alcudia. The CCS Palma of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Saiph' from Alcudia for its removal, which took the derelict boat in tow to the Port Authority dock. Motor bot towed to Pollensa after fire
On Aug 10, 2023, a fire broke out aboard the motorboat i'Solid 30' n the vicinity of Cbo due to an engine explosion. The CCS Palma of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Saiph' and the SAR helicopter Helimer 220. The skipper indicated that he had suffered minor burns and controlled the fire. The 'Salvamar Saiph' towed the boat to Pollensa, where he was medically treated.
SAR boat assisted grounded excursion boat
The m/v 'Alba i Laia' ran aground in S`Arenalet de S`Aubarca with 12 passengers on board on June 21, 2023. The passengers were able to reach the shore. The CCS Palma of Salvamento MArítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Saiph', which towed the boat to the the Alcudiamar travelift.
