Ruptured hose caused fire alert

On Mar 16, 2012, at 9:20 a.m the emergency services in Hellsingborg were alerted to the "Obbola" after a development of smoke in the bow thruster room. It turned out that a hydraulic fuel hose had ruptured and caused the smoke after the rescue services had sent smoke divers who located the origin of the smoke development in the bow of the ferry which wass docked at the Skåne Terminal. The ruptured hose had sprayed oil onto a hot part. The vessel was ventilated after the investigations were finished.
