A Canadian passenger tested positive for coronavirus on March 14, 2020, on the 'Sivler Shadow', which docked off the port of Recife. Royal Caribbean confirmed the case. Two guests aboard the vessel have been medically disembarked in Recife and one has tested positive for COVID-19. The ship's 609 passengers have been in isolation since March 12 when a passenger showed symptoms similar to coronavirus. One of the passengers who disembarked, a 78-year-old man from Canada, had a fever, cough and difficulty breathing. He was sent to a private hospital in the city. The ship remained stationary as of March 17. Disembarkation of passengers started on March 17 at Recife. All were to be taken to their countries of origin by planes.
