Ran aground en route from Azov to Samsun at Azov Sea

General cargo Sormovskiy 48 en route from Azov port to Samsun, Turkey, carrying 3202 tonnes of wheat as cargo, ran aground, on Azov?Don Sea Channel, west of Don river estuary, Azov sea, at around 0500 hrs, Moscow time, Sep 21. MRCC Moscow was reported about the grounding, today, adding that a tug was sent to refloat the vessel. As of 1400 hrs, Moscow time, today, no tug was around.

Another near miss at Kerch Bridge

The "Sormovskiy 48" nearly missed the Kerch Bridge constructions in the evening of Mar 29, 2016, while transiting the Kerch Strait in northern direction en route from GEbze to Azov. The vessel left the fairway to proceed to the Enikalskiy arm and got stranded off fairway, under joint force of wind and current. The ship barely missed a pillar under construction.
