Technical failure repaired off Sinop

The 'Sozopol 1' suffered a technical failure and dropped anchor at the Sinop anchorage on Dec 9, 2020, while en route from Eregli to Poti at 6 p.m. Repairs were being carried out by the crew, and the ship resumed its voyage the same day. It berthed at the APT Terminal Pier 14 on Dec 12 at 6.20 p.m.

Failure on main deck railings and pertinent equipment

The "Sozopol 1" suffered a structural failure on main deck railings and pertinent equipment, while discharging cargo at Gebze on June 12, 2019. The repairs were carried out by the stevedore duty teams once the discharge of cargo was completed. The ship sailed from Hereke on June 14 at 8.30 p.m. and headed to Burgas with an ETA as of June 17.

Structural failures in Hereke

The 'Sozopol 1' suffered structural failure on hatch coamings and main deck handrails at Gebze during discharge operation of steel scrap on July 9, 2018. Repairs were to be carried out by the stevedore duty teams upon completion of discharge operations. The vessel remained stationary at the Diler Demir Celik Endüstri ve Ti Ticaret AS Liman tesisleri at Tavsancil on July 11.
