Sun Mar 22 17:32:48 UTC 2020 Timsen

The 'Stadt Dresden' was granted a single voyage permission to the Ambarli Kumport container terminal, where all cargo was discharged. Subsequently, the vessel returned to Yalova and entered a shipyard on March 20 at 6.15 p.m. in order to carry out permanent repairs. A detailed damage survey was carried out by a Class Surveyor. The Besiktas shipyard sent technical teams which have commenced permanent repairs as per class surveyor's recommendations. The 'Ibrahim Simsek' was shifted to the Tuzla shipyard area anchorage. The class surveyor together with the owner's superintendent carried out a detailed damage survey. The vessel, which had been bound to Aliaga, remained stationary at the Tuzla shipyard anchorage as of March 22.

Fri Mar 13 08:49:46 UTC 2020 Timsen

A damage survey was carried out aboard the 'Stadt Dresden' on March 12 by an appointed survey panel. IT turned out that the free fall rescue boat, safety connections and handrail units were heavily damaged. The poop deck side shell plating was holed, heavily damaged and needed a steel replacement in the frame of the repair. An underwater inspection was in progress in order to ascertain any damage on the propeller or rudder systems in the water. Also aboard the 'İbrahim Şimşek' a damage survey was carried out by an appointed survey panel. Various structural damages were noted at the foreship side shell plating together with anchor chains and windlasses. The crew of both was interrogated by the Harbour Master incident investigation desk. Both vessel's departure permission has been cancelled until completion of permanent or temporary repairs and remained stationary at Yalova anchorage as of March 13.
