Wison receives award for its contribution in floating LNG

Sat Mar 03 23:32:07 CET 2018 arnekiel

Wison Offshore and Marine (“Wison”) won the award of “Most Exceptional Contribution to the Development of FLNG/FSRU” delivered at the 2nd Annual LNG USA Summit held in Houston, United States from 27th to 28th of February, the company said in its press release. The award was presented to Wison in recognition for achieving final delivery of Caribbean FLNG, world's first barge-based FLNG and the recently sailed-away Exmar FSRU in 2017. This is the second international award received by Wison for its outstanding contribution to floating LNG, further demonstrating wide recognition for the company’s value addition to the gas and LNG industry. Other award winners at the Summit include major players in LNG such as Shell, Gas Natural Fenosa, etc.

Exmar delays Caribbean FLNG delivery to May

Wed May 03 09:45:06 CEST 2017 arnekiel

Belgian shipowner Exmar has pushed back delivery of its first floating LNG (FLNG) vessel to May as it continues to seek employment for the 500,000 tonne a year newbuilding. Exmar was due to take delivery of the 16,100m³ Caribbean FLNG from the Wison Offshore & Marine shipyard in Nantong, China this month. However, it reveals in its latest results that it has pushed back the delivery date to May as it continues to seek employment for the vessel. Caribbean FLNG was commissioned against a contract to unlock offshore gas in Colombian waters with Pacific Exploration & Production (PEP). However, falling oil and gas prices cut project returns, leading to the venture being “terminated” last spring. http://www.lngworldshipping.com/news/view,exmar-delays-caribbean-flng-delivery-to-may_47495.htm
