Tug assisted distressed barge
On Nov 4, 2022, the barge KM 'Gold Trans 304', 3154 gt, en route from Jakarta to PLTU Pacitan carrying 7,400 tons of coal from Banjarmasin ran aground near Nusa Barong Island in East Java, after suffering engine damage and a leak in its port side hull which caused it to list south of Jember, precisely in the waters of Cambah Bay, Nusabarung Island, Puger Jember. The 'Trans Power 209' assisted the barge. The Airud Jember Police Satpol checked the situation.On Nov 5 members of the Airud Satpol helped the crew to drain the water, so that the list was corrected, but because the ship's engine was also damaged, the barge remained off Nusabarong island waiting for technicians from the company.
