Luxury yacht sank off Antibes
The "Triple Seven" suffered water ingress enroute from Monte Carlo to Olbia off Antibes near the port of Salis on July 21, 2017, at noon. The maritime security of Villeneuve-Loubet was alerted by the CROSS Med and intervened before rescuers of the SNSM-station of Antibes at 1.08 p.m. saved the 21-year old Australian skipper who had been alone aboard. The yacht sank 500 meters offshore with the foreship remaining above the water.
