Tanker lost propeller
The 'Volgoneft 121', while en route from St. Petersburg to Yaroslavl in ballast, lost a propeller during manoeuvers on Yaroslavl roads in the Volgo-Balt Canal on July 2, 2018, at 4.40 p.m. Subsequently, the vessel proceeded into Yaroslavl for inspections and to carry out repairs.
Ran aground, ballast tank breached, Russia
Early in the morning Sep 13 2012 tanker Volgoneft 121 loaded with 4267 tons of gasoil ran aground on 545.7 kilometer mark river Nizhnyaya Sheksna, Russia, after stranding off channel. Vessel was anchoring in a fog, en route from Yaroslavl to S-Petersburg. Portside ballast tank was breached with resulting water ingress. No leak reported, traffic not affected.
