Collision on the Rhine

On Sep 7, 2019, the "V. de Beijer Sr.", 2607 ts (EU-No.: 02324011), along with the barge "V. de Beijer Sr. II", 2415 ts (EU-No.: 02324129), was hit in a collision with the "Excelsior", 5149 ts (EU-No.: 02328731), enroute from Voerde to Dorsten on the Rhine. The "Excelsior" was enroute from Duisburg to Tolkamer at that time and slammed into the port side stern of the other ship, catching up from behind, which was dented and breached above the waterline. No injuries were reported. The "Excelsior" berthed in the Logport II in Duisburg on Sep 9 at 9.20 a.m. The "V. de Beijer Sr." was underway to Marel via Dorsten with an ETA as of Sep 13.
