Fire in Spejkenisse
On May 17, 2014, around midday, a fire brouk out in the engine room of the "Zilvermeeuw 6" in Spijkenisse. The ship was on a charter trip with55 pupils of an ROC school on board when oil was spilt and ignited, causing a small fire and smoke development from the engine. All passengers were safely disembarked after the ship was moored at the ferry way, and picked up by a bus which took them back to Zeeland. The fire was extinguished short time later.
