Broken fuel pump nozzle repaired on sea
The "Wega", enroute from Bilbao to Tilbury, with a crew of 12 on board, reported a broken fuel pump nozzle, in position 51 20 02.4N, 001 58 29.4E, on June 26, 2018, at 1.22 p.m. The nozzle was repaired in about 30 minutes and the vessel resumed the voyage. No tug assistance was rendered. The vessel was carrying 5,762 metric tonnes of general cargo along with bunkers of 283.8 metric tonnes of heavy fuel oil a.o. It arrived in Tilbury on July 27 atz 10 a.m. and sailed again at 11.50 p.m., bound to Rotterdam, ETA June 28.
CMA CGM announces launch of a new call at South Shields on its FAS East Coast UK Feeder
The CMA CGM is pleased to announce the upgrade of its FAS East Coast UK Feeder service between the Netherlands and the UK thanks to the introduction of a new call at South Shields as from early July, 2014. FAS EAST COAST UK FEEDER new rotation will be the following: Zeebrugge – Immingham – Teesport – South Shields – Grangemouth – Rotterdam – Zeebrugge This new rotation will be effective with M/V WEGA voy. KV233R, calling at South Shields on July 2nd, 2014. Thanks to this additional call, CMA CGM will provide an even more extended coverage of the UK market, improving its service level to Import and Export customers in the North East of England.
