ALEXANDER B 9328649

The "Alexander B" was collision in 60.01.0 N 029.32.9 E in the Gulf of Finland, on March 13, 2010. On its way from St. Peterbrug to Rotterdam the boxship collided with the boxship "Amrum Trader" (IMO: 9150080 ) while proceeding in an ice channel, in a position of pilots’ disembarking. The "Amrum Trader" suffered a hole in a bow above the waterline, the "Alexander B" was damaged aft. Both vessels were directed by the master of St. Petersburg Port, from where the "Alexander B" just had come, to anchor at No. 4 anchorage for inspection and repairs. The collision happened in strong NE winds and heavy ice.
