Ships stores robbed off Macapa
The Officer of the Watch, on board the anchored "SBI Rock" noticed the forecastle door open and robbers on the forward deck on Feb 15, 2018, at 05.25 a.m. at the Macapa Anchorage, Brazil. The alarm was raised and the crew mustered. Seeing the alerted crew, the robbers escaped overboard and fled the area. Following the incident, the crew conducted a search of the vessel and it was determined that, ship`s stores from the forecastle store had been stolen by the robbers.
