Detained Danish merchant vessel did indeed carry arms and ammunition from Ukraine to Kuwait before reaching the Indian waters, but it also had the permission necessary to carry the explosives on board, confirmed the company that owns the ship. "There has been some misunderstanding on the part of Indian anti-terror authorities as a result of which the ship has been detained," Jogen Folmer of H Folmer and Company, which owns M V Danica, told TOI from Denmark. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/Ship-had-permit-to-carry-arms-Owner/articleshow/8061528.cms

DANICA SUNRISE 8702410

Sat Apr 23 07:14:16 CEST 2011 arnekiel

A week after Den Mark-flagged vessel MV Danica Sunrise was intercepted, the ship continues to be in detention. The eight-member crew is being questioned, with the security officials not entirely satisfied with the crew’s response and behaviour. The two British security guards on board the ship allegedly dumped their arms in the sea after entering Indian waters. The security guards are believed to have served in the British Army. The vessel is still anchored off the Mumbai harbour. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/ship-in-detention-cops-study-toy-gun-theory/780064/
